|Main features and applications|
Low sulfur mold steel can be heat treated to adjust the strength, such as engraved mold by spark etching or photochemical processing to complete, or need high polishability, it is more desirable, can be used to make plastic molds up to 400MM.
Special steels with particularly high machinability, suitable for dies for die casting machines, whose strength can be adjusted by heat treatment.
Good machinability and polishability, and suitable for sunburst, because of the increased nickel content of about 1%, so there is a very good through-hardening, for large size mold, the larger the thickness of more than 1500MM, the width of 3500MM. Ordinary pre-hardening 30-34HRC, if there is a customer need, up to 38HPC.
Particularly suitable for large parts, larger thickness than 1500MM, good polish, good weldability and can be nitrided, very uniform hardness from surface to center part.
The VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelting) version of MFRx5S (HQ-P) has extremely high purity and uniformity, with excellent performance in polishing and sunbursting.
Used for high hardness mass production precision moulds, mirror requirements plastic moulds, because of the low carbon content brings very good welding performance, not suitable for making large moulds with thicknesses other than 400mm.
High abrasion resistance and toughness, suitable for plastic molds with high abrasion performance, thermosetting plastics.
High-temperature strength performance is particularly high, toughness high chrome-nickel alloy die steel, suitable for mechanical and thermal requirements of the high mold.
Load-resistant die steel with increased hardening depth and high wear resistance at high temperatures, especially suitable for machining hard steel and for fixtures for forging machines, all sizes of dies for upper and lower punches and all types of cavities.
